The developer says 1.0 completes the story for several existing characters and that you play "a crucial role in Eleanor's story", but it has not published a walkthrough, so every step below is a player report and is labeled that way. Who Eleanor is in Probably Stolen
Eleanor is a recurring customer whose storyline was finished for the 1.0 release, alongside Lou, Officer Lun and Cadet Serpico. The forum spells her name Eleanor, Elanore and Eleanora, and the 1.0 launch post uses Eleanor. Owlie's Water Trading guide on Steam says she shows up around the third week to pawn off her things, and that a spring water put out for sale, but not sold, helps bring high-level water buyers. Probably Stolen Eleanor and the package (spoilers)
Players describe a package event. A man calling himself her uncle brings a box, and the forum thread says the box is a trap: if you hand it to Eleanor she is arrested by Security. One player reloaded the day, waited for the heat to fall, and found that she then refused it. Another player says the item is junk worth about 300 credits, and that selling it ends that part of her story.
The solution players keep suggesting is to call Security when the uncle arrives. One poster says Security reports that he was the one who filed the false theft report, which is a crime, and that Eleanor then understands someone on the upper levels is trying to have her arrested. A second poster says Security paid them and Eleanor gave a useful item as thanks. A third says her next visit offers a choice between a high-quality water purifier and pheromone perfume and that her storyline continues from there. The flash drive choice (spoilers)
Later in her chain, players say, you hold a flash drive and choose what to do with it. In the thread on this choice, one player says leaking it makes Nutrifruit yield seeds and drops the seed pack price, and that Eleanor appears one more time to give the reward. A player who chose to publish it says her mother dies, Eleanor comes back to thank you, says she has joined the revolution and gives a self-refilling perfume bottle. A player who chose to save her mother says the black market gives 300 credits straight away and that Eleanor returns to thank you with the same perfume bottle. Both say they did not see her again afterwards, and several players wish she kept appearing as a customer.
