The Probably Stolen release date was October 28, 2026: the full 1.0 version of the cyberpunk shopkeeper sim went live on Steam that day, so yes, the game is out. It is a Windows PC game from Questing Goose Studio, published by tinyBuild. This page covers the launch time, price, editions, platforms, Steam Deck status and system requirements.

Probably Stolen release date and time

The Probably Stolen release date came with a fixed hour: version 1.0 opened on Steam on October 28, 2026 at 9:00 AM EDT. The developer's launch post gave the time in three zones:

Time zoneLaunch time

The launch went well. The developer reported more than 200,000 copies sold in the first few hours, and SteamDB recorded a peak of 86,099 players at once on launch day. The store showed 96% positive reviews later that day. Before 1.0, a free demo was available; read the Probably Stolen demo page for what happened to it.

The Probably Stolen price is US$19.99. A 10% launch discount brings it to US$17.99, and the store page showed that offer running to November 11, 2026. The developer announced these regional list prices:

Platforms and Steam Deck

The game is on Windows PC through Steam only. No console version, no Mac version and no Game Pass release has been announced. It is single player, with Steam Cloud, Family Sharing and 21 Steam achievements.

Valve's automated check rates Probably Stolen Steam Deck compatibility as Playable, not Verified. Valve flagged three things: the default controller configuration is not fully functional, the on-screen glyphs do not match the Deck, and the interface text may be hard to read. The developer said on the Steam forum that they do not own a Deck and will look at support after the launch rush, and that players report it is comfortable once the controls are rebound.

The store page does not list controller support; it lists a mouse-only option instead. Players on the forum report there is no native gamepad support, with Steam Input rebinding as the usual workaround. The game also ships Steam Workshop support; see Probably Stolen mods.

System requirements

The Probably Stolen system requirements are light. Only the minimum is published.

PartMinimum
OSWindows 10, 64-bit
CPUIntel Core i3 or equivalent
RAM8 GB
GPUGTX 650 Ti equivalent or higher
DirectXVersion 10
Storage1 GB

The store page gives no recommended specification beyond saying a 64-bit processor and operating system are required.

Languages

Steam lists eight languages: English, German, Japanese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, French, Spanish (Spain) and Polish. The developer called this full localization for 1.0. Steam does not list voice-over languages. A player-made Traditional Chinese translation is also on the Workshop.
